Was playing around with my Katniss Sim

and a wild Jennifer Lawrence appeared! ;)

(I hate the necklace on that dress -.- base game clothes really do suck don’t they?)

If anyone is experiencing problems with their game related to custom content/downloads.

Then I am pretty sure that you would benefit from making sure your game is updated.

When you open up The Sims 3 launcher, you should be prompted to update your game if updates are available and you’re connected to the internet. 

The patch number in the bottom left-hand corner can tell you whether you’re updated or not.

This page shows a list of patches. If your first three digits matches the one displayed at the top of this list then you are up-to-date.

As of today [18th May 2012] the latest patch is 1.33.

THG Training wear!

I’m working on the outfits from the training center in The Hunger Games for the Katniss Sim’s athletic outfit. I’m going to make ones with each district’s number on… and MAYBE a male one eventually.

Here’s the top so far:

This has been quite a challenge so far, getting the different colour zones in the correct place.. I’d have to do it all over again for a male one.

do you have any tips on creating the sims things
I am making Cooper anderson and I don’t know what to do, do you have any sliders I can download?

Well I think a whole load of the sliders I use came with my Kurt and Blaine sims, as you need them in your game for my sims too show properly. Have a look through your sliders and see if you can find any of them.

Oh, this pack is really good for body stuff, which surprisingly makes quite a big difference: http://www.modthesims.info/d/378416

And tips. Well I suggest collecting at least these three pictures of Matt/Cooper: 

• A forward facing source picture, neutral expression.
• A complete profile source picture, neutral expression.
• A 3/4 pose, neutral expression.

Then maybe so more of him smiling etc. just to help you.

Play your game in Windowed mode (you can toggle the Full Screen option in the options panel) and then change the display settings to a smaller size than your computer screen (but maybe with a similar ratio) Then you can have a source picture open next to your game so you can refer to them whilst creating.

Then spend a lot of time messing about with the sim at many angles.. AND REMEMBER TO SAVE TO THE SIM BIN ONCE IN A WHILE… I cannot tell you how many times the game has crashed and I’ve lost my work…

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen - The Hunger Games

A work in progress. I think I am nearly there with the shaping of the sim, but I have some custom clothes planned :D 

I’m thinking of making a few things to release separately (and with the sim):

• Tribute training costumes
• District pride shirts
• A Mockingjay pin

More on those later!

Hmm. Maybe some Hunger games sims next? Or maybe I’ll remake Rachel Berry/Lea?

I lost my old Rachel/Lea sim a while back, maybe I’ll remake her. Or start making Katniss and the gang ;)

Downloading the files

- Installing Files -

Make sure The Sims 3 is closed

Unpack Download File

Do this using a program like WinRar. Right click on the file and look for something similar to “Extract”. Extract the folders inside to somewhere safe and temporary, say your desktop.

Inside are two folders and a file.

Moving The Files CORRECTLY

The contents of the download, need to be placed in different locations.

• First move the single file named “Darren_Criss!3.sim” to your “SavedSims” folder, usually located:
  
  C:\Users"YOUR NAME”\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SavedSims
  
  If there isn’t a “SavedSims” folder, make one.
• Next move the contents of both folders included in the download to your “Packages” folder, usually located: C:\Users"YOUR NAME”\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages
  
  If you don’t have a “Mods” folder, create one. Inside it you need to put this file (download) and another folder named “Packages”.
  
  If you already have some of the .package files, chose to skip those particular ones when prompted and only move the rest. You don’t need them twice. 

Using the sim in game

Now you can open up your game as usual and go to Create a Sim. There you can pick the sim from the Sim Bin and change him to suit you!

I bought another sims 3 disc in the end because I was soooo sick of not having it! God knows where the last one actually is!

Anyway, this means that I WILL (as in I’m wroking on it this moment!) be updating the Darren Criss sim so that it works for the new updates!

So sorry that this took so long! But i was just holding out on fining my old disc… 

Oh well!

I was going to re package the file so that it works, but I’ve lost my sims 3 disc :(

I don’t know whether buying another will work or not because it’s not the same one as I installed.

So i cannot re-upload him for now :( sorry
